Initially the company started with the import and trading of materials for the fabrication of thatched houses and dhows. With the passage of time and discovery of oil in the U.A.E., Al Rahmani contributed to the development of the country and the region by understanding technological developments during that time and the rapidly changing needs of the sector. This helped Al Rahmani to focus on identifying, sourcing and supplying the right kind of items related to construction and building materials, interior decoration, and related activities. Today the group has four showrooms in Dubai, two in Abu Dhabi and one each in Sharjah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah and Muscat. Work on the new showroom in Mabella, Sultanate of Oman is in progress and expected to be operational by November 2006. It also has sales offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah and Muscat for outdoor sales, project sales, interior decoration and chemicals. Future plans include the opening of new showrooms and sales offices in other emirates and also in the overseas market.
